Charter Membership Qualifications
To become eligible for membership of the NZCHP a practitioner must be an accredited member of an affiliate signatory to the Charter and hold an accreditation in a recognised modality obtained from a Charter approved and accredited teaching institution.
For practitioners who have obtain a qualification from an unapproved teaching institution an application and submission providing full details of appropriate training, and experience if applicable, may be sent to the NZCHP to be forwarded to the Registrar of The Charter Registration Board.

Additional Qualifications
Chartered Members wishing to add qualifications in addition to those already accredited, may send certified photocopies of relevant documentation (including diplomas etc) obtained from approved teaching institutions to the Registrar of the Charter Registration Board.
Student Membership
Student membership is open to all students studying accredited diploma courses at Charter accredited teaching institutions. Click here to download a student application form
Upgrading from Student to Full Professional membership
On completion of a diploma course, a student member may send a certified photocopy to the Charter Administration Office addressed to the Registrar of The Charter registration Board accompanied by the appropriate fee.
Please contact the Charter Office prior to application to establish the payable amount as a reduction in the fee may apply for fees which have already paid as a student member. There is no requirement for a member to submit another application for membership.
On receipt of the cheque/money order/credit card details and accompanying documentation, the membership is immediately upgraded.

Annual Registration Renewals
All membership categories s are due for renewal prior to 1st April in each year. An invoice and renewal notice is sent to all members in late February. Reminder notices are also sent later in the year.
Membership categories and fees are as follows:
Membership Fees
All Membership fees are inclusive of GST
Full Professional Member $460 per annum
Associate Member $460 per annum
Student Member $165 per annum
An initial joining fee of $50 applies to all categories regardless of the time of year and must be paid on renewal if a member becomes unfinancial.
Half-year fees are available only to those members who are joining for the first time and who join between 1st September and 31st March in any year.

Annual Membership Renewal Notices
Renewal Notices are posted in late February each year. Please check carefully that all relevant details e.g. contact address clinic details and telephone numbers are correct. The member’s home telephone number is for NZCHP reference only, and unless authorised, is not published in the annual ‘Chartered Practitioner Directory’. All the modalities/therapies for which a member is accredited also appear on the renewal notice.
Student and Associate members do not have clinic addresses listed or modalities published as these categories only apply to full professional members.

Changing Membership Categories
If for any reason there is a need to change category of membership, the current practicing certificate is required to be returned to the NZCHP administration office and a new certificate will be issued acknowledging the change of membership status.
